I learned a new word from Jose today. A cow came into the parlor pooping all of the way in. Jose made a face and said, Cochina. With a little discussion and hand gestures, I finally figured out it means "filthy". Not a word I had been taught in any Spanish class. The best way to learn something is to repeat it, so later when another cow started pooping, I looked over at Jose and said , Cochina. He thought that was hilarious. Soon if one of us saw a cow pooping we were shouting Cochina w/ all the fervor of an army officer yelling "Incoming!". Thinking back, I just hope that my interpretation of the word is correct and I didn't spend five hours swearing in Spanish.
