Snowing this morning when the electricity went out. After establishing that it was out for other people too, decided to take a walk. Could hear birds in the trees. Usually a nice sound but a little depressing when it's snowing. I worry about how these birds, just arriving back from warmer climes, adjust to this cold. Since I don't find their little carcasses littering the woods, I assume they have coping mechanisms. That or the coyotes are very good at cleaning up.
