Ice and Snow

The snow storm started while I was at work and continued through the day. When I got home, I put on hold the errands I had planned. Forecast was only for five inches but why drive around w/ limited visibility, hard to find road edges, and long lines of cars crawling behind county snow plows? I sat down in the recliner, pulled up a big fluffy comforter to my chin. The dog jumped onto my lap and the cat walked across the end table to reach my shoulder where she curled and started a loud purr. We all watched the snow come down before drifting off to sleep on a winter (for two more days) afternoon.
