New Year's Eve at the neighbors

New Year's Eve I celebrated by firing off e-mails to my house rep and senators telling them to quit if they couldn't compromise. Sure, they probably won't even see my e-mail but I figure if enough people contact them, they might notice - maybe. This morning it was eleven below zero when I walked into work. Cold enough that we post-dipped the cows and then wiped it off before sending them back to the barn. It had warmed up enough by the afternoon to start snowing. Indy and I did our walk after sunset but w/ the new fallen snow the ground has such a high albedo that it was still very bright. All in all, an OK start to the New Year.
