The dairy owners said that Galen, the Land-O-Lakes rep, would be here tomorrow to check Melissa, Sephra, and Jose (our three newest employees). Over the years, I've been around for a couple of these checks. Galen has a stop watch. puts a gauge on a milker, and watches that (a) you are using good procedures, (b) you aren't too slow, and (c) you aren't letting pressure escape as you put on the milker. Later while Mike was in the parlor w/ us, Melissa asked what Galen "checked". "He just watches your milking procedures. Nothing to be concerned about." I replied. That was the truth. However, I gave a knowing look at Mike and added, "There is a test at the end but it's mostly true/false." Mike picked up on the look and said, "I did have a little problem w/ the essay question." Don't know if Melissa figured out we were pulling her leg or not but I hope she doesn't ask Galen to see the test.
