Porcupine

I'm reading a non-fiction book "Double Cross" about the spies Germany had in England during WWII. Learning lots of new stuff.  For instance, all of the spies were discovered and either turned into double agents for the Allies, put into prison for the duration of the war, or executed.  Also, the double agents would send back reports to the Nazis reporting fictional people they had supposedly recruited to also spy for Germany.  The Germans would send money to pay for all of the spies they thought they had and the Allies used the money to fund the entire Double Cross system. I'm now at the part in the book where the Allies are making plans for D-Day and determining how they can use the double agents they to confuse the Nazis on their intent.  Just as it's getting truly interesting, my car radio conked out. I'll have to bop down to the repair shop and ask the mechanic to disconnect the battery and reconnect it - which will get the radio working again. (A strange nuance my car has developed as it gets older.) Gotta find out who wins the war! (ha)

You would enjoy visiting with my 85 yr old buddy - Konrad. Born in Berlin, anti-aircraft gunner in WWII Hitler Youth, POW in US camp. Father was high-ranking lawyer, German Ambassador, pilot in Luftwaffe, secured fuel for Rommel's tanks crossing the desert. Lots of great storys!

Regarding quirky car radio, how about a toggle switch under the dash inline with power wire to radio.

I never knew porcupines climbed trees. This picture makes them look downright cuddly.
