Performing your civic duty?

Stopped by the county clerk's office to pick up more election materials. The clerk was there and asked if I had any in-person voting today.  Another new state law is that we could mail out absentee ballots as early as last month. However, if someone asked for one, I couldn't hand it to them until now. I told her I had a few today.  She said the local TV news had reported people could vote in-person at the clerk's office. The news hadn't elucidated that it had to be at your municipality's clerk's office and not just any clerk.  Her office had a line up of people thinking they could drop by and vote there. Could be worse she said, this is the sign another county's clerk saw as she drove home from work.
