Watched the geese flying back and forth across the sky. Lots of honking and little to no form in their formation. They aren't going anywhere yet. Mom would say they use the autumn to teach the young ones how to fly in a "V" shape before going south in the winter. After flying east, then west, then east, then west, the flock was finally beginning to look a bit more refined. Reminded me of Dad's favorite joke - When geese fly, why is one leg of the "V" longer than the other? Answer: Because that leg has more geese.
