September Library Display - Harvest

Brought Aunt June a McD mocha instead of a latte this morning. She really enjoyed the mocha w/ it's heaping top of whipped cream and drizzle of chocolate. We sipped them in the bird room which now has double doors leading to the new assisted living center. While there are some people already living in the new suites, the common rooms aren't quite yet ready.  Once we finished our drinks I asked Aunt June if she wanted to break some rules and she eagerly agreed. We sneaked (as much as you can when pushing a wheelchair) through the double doors to check out the new area. The floors are dusty and there are boxes in the aisles but you can see how pretty the place is. The furniture is a simple mission style in rosewood. The walls are in muted colors of green. The upholstery is in tans and greens. There are stained glass windows in a small chapel and a dining room w/ windows on two sides. We explored until it was time to return June for her brunch. We didn't have time to view the living quarters. That will have to wait for the next visit; and if we can't go into the living quarters next time ... well ... it will all be new again for Aunt June anyway.
