Pale Tussock caterpillar

First frost warnings for the area. I brought in the flowers and plants from the deck. I'm not ready yet to give up my little potted herb garden so put those plants in the guest bedroom on a glass topped table by a southeast window. My thought process was Orion wouldn't be able to chew on them there, that their fragrant smell would freshen that room (which remains shut when no one is visiting), and would give me access to fresh herbs into the autumn. Later I went in to water them and immediately smelled onion. OK, the chives had to go! Moved the chive pot into my bedroom but the little stinkers might not be able to stay there much longer either.
