I am so glad that the Summer Olympics are held on the years of a U.S. presidential election. Gives us all a break from hearing the minutia of what the candidates are saying and doing. I'm already tired of hearing President Obama saying every businessperson had help in building their company and former Governor Romney saying he had concerns that there might be security issues at the London Olympics. Both statements are being repeated everywhere on TV w/ a lack of context and neither comment is actually noteworthy. However, because of the Olympics, I can turn to NBC and watch cyclist's butts as they race for six hours or see swimmers go back and forth (back and forth, back and forth, back and forth) in a pool. (deep sigh) Well, I can always go for a walk w/ Indy.

Agreed!!! Nice to have a break from politics. Gymnastics has been fun to watch. Wish we could see the more obscure events, though.

I thought you didn't get NBC.
(See, I check your blog every now and then!)
