My herb garden

When my brothers cut a burl from a tree trunk, they took a quarter out of it to work w/ and then thought the remaining wood looked like a little chair. They took some other slices of wood to make feet for it and left it at the edge of the garden as a decoration. I'm not known for my gardening skills but the little chair gave me an idea. First I needed to get it up by the front door. That puppy was heavy but by tumbling it end over end, I finally got it in place. Then I dug up old clay pots from my stash of plant containers and bought some additional herb plants.   Presto,  I have my own little herb garden right outside of my kitchen. One that won't become overrun w/ weeds and is easy to remember to water. Plus, I think it's kinda cute.

Looks even better with the pots. When Brent needs more burl I don't think he will get part of this log!
