Yellow Pond Lily

An ad was filmed at the dairy on Wednesday for a company that gets cheese from Land-O-Lakes. My part was just to clean the parlor and it was sparkling when I left in the morning. The next morning Eric, the dairy owner, came in and thanked us for all of our work and said everything had gone well with the only minor glitch being Carol, the other owner. When the film crew arrived in the afternoon they said they would film the owners at their kitchen table. Carol had not known that they planned on doing anything inside their house so she had to do some quick cleaning. The producer than gave them the script. Why he hadn't given it to them before, I don't know - maybe so they would be more spontaneous? Anyway, it started out w/ them saying, "Our milk is organic ...". Carol pointed out that she couldn't say that since when the cows are sick, they give them antibiotics because that's what is best for the cows. The crew didn't understand the difference but Carol was adamant. Further in the script it said, "... cows on pasture..." Again, Carol tried to explain to them that in the bigger farms, the cows aren't pastured. Blank stares from the film crew. Eventually, they got through the process. We often watch commercials realizing that what the actors are saying is hyperbole. However, if you see Eric and Carol's ad, it's all true.
