A 3% Moon

The skies cleared this morning allowing temps to drop well below -10 degrees F.  Not a problem, I rolled over in my flannel sheets and fell asleep again.   I always seem inexplicably happier when it's super cold on days I don't have to go to work.  I'd hoped that it would remain clear for the rest of the day.  A giant solar flare on the sun today meant a good possibility of northern lights tonight.   However, just before sunset a cloud layer moved in.   Maybe I'll check tomorrow early to see if there are aurora -or- I might instead just roll over in my flannel sheets and go back to sleep.
