Russell

Got out the good china and silverware and my grandmother's glassware.  Then put together a checklist to help me get everything ready on time and on the table for a Christmas eve supper w/ Russell, Donna, and Brent.  First course was ginger-carrot soup w/ crackers.  Second was a tossed salad /w ranch dressing and dinner rolls.  Third course was crock-pot steak and potatoes.  Fourth course was pecan pie w/ whipped cream and coffee.  Actually worked out pretty slick.  The napkins rolled into napkin rings and sitting at the side of the plate, salad plates were chilled, the butter soft enough to be easily spread on the rolls.  Plus I had time to catch up w/ everyone's life.  One of the best Christmas eve's I've had.
