White Tailed deer

Last day of rifle season.  Finally the carnage is over.  Yeah, yeah, I know.  That's my bleeding heart liberal side talking.  My rational side reminds me that if the deer herds weren't thinned some deer would starve during the winter and we would have more car-deer collisions.   It's still bow and musket season for a few weeks and if I was hunting I'd be required to wear blaze orange in the woods.  However, this is my land.  I won't be wearing hunting togs.  I will be walking through the woods and should I get shot, you can bet I'll be royally ticked.

I know what you mean. That is why I can't eat red meat. Hard to think about chewing on some poor cow that once had a pretty face.
