Last day of rifle season. Finally the carnage is over. Yeah, yeah, I know. That's my bleeding heart liberal side talking. My rational side reminds me that if the deer herds weren't thinned some deer would starve during the winter and we would have more car-deer collisions. It's still bow and musket season for a few weeks and if I was hunting I'd be required to wear blaze orange in the woods. However, this is my land. I won't be wearing hunting togs. I will be walking through the woods and should I get shot, you can bet I'll be royally ticked.

I know what you mean. That is why I can't eat red meat. Hard to think about chewing on some poor cow that once had a pretty face.
