Full Frost Moon

"In the manure wars, the farmers never win."  said Eric the dairy owner.  All farmers in the Northwoods are trying to empty their manure pits before winter sets in.  If they don't, the pits will overflow during the winter months when they can't be sucked out and the DNR will impose fines.  Seems however that the new manure transportation equipment being sold is too heavy for most town road weight limits.  The companies building the equipment say w/ more axles and bigger tires, the new equipment has less weight per square inch than the old equipment.  However, Eric's statement is true.  The public doesn't want anything to do w/ manure and aren't for any law concerning it.  The one saving grace is the sheriff stated his officers would not pull over any manure transportation trucks this autumn.  "Not worth the smell." he said.
