My annual doc's appointment was today and I wasn't looking forward to it. She'd put me on a new blood pressure medicine last year in hopes of bringing it down. I'd decided I was taking enough pills already and made some other life style changes in an effort to bring it down. It's never a good idea to lie to your doc so I told her the truth - I hadn't taken the new
meds. She was understanding, asked why I hadn't taken them and then let me know that my blood pressure was now within
acceptable limits. However, my cholesterol has gone up. She looked at me, "We'll try some diet changes before we think about new
meds." Not trying to be difficult - just really hate taking pills.
