A White Thanksgiving
The dairy owners pay time and a half on holidays so everyone was working on Thanksgiving Day. They also don't have anything special planned (shots for the cows, vet check, spraying feet, etc.) so we were through milking by 8:30 a.m. Today was a little different. The herdsman was busy doing other stuff, a sub was in for Mike who was off deer hunting, and the extra person who usually helps me milk was also gone to do some Black Friday shopping. W/ just me milking it took a bit longer and the milk hauler was waiting by the time I finished up. TGIF! I actually was feeling pretty good by the time I was headed out the door when I heard the herdsman tell the owner that Indy (the cow) had freshened (had a calf). Great - have to start dealing w/ the cow that hates my guts again. Oh well, will worry about that come Monday.

This looks like a Christmas card picture.

Have you and Indy (the cow) ever considered counseling to resolve the deep seated hate issue?
Flip
I did suggest meeting at McDonald's to talk things over but she declined the invite. - Susan
She also didn't go for using the local butcher as an arbitrator.
I don't know. Counseling just seems to be a moo-t issue.
I think 'Flip' left himself wide open for these comments.
