Wild Plums (Prunus americana)

The postmistress lives in my township. She stopped me today and asked how much it cost to pave a road. I really don't know - we haven't paved a road since I took the clerk's job. She said her neighbors had been talking and thought that the town could save what was spent on grading their gravel road so paving would be cost effective. Was that true?Fortunately, I keep a report on what the town spends on each road (I just love spreadsheets!) I gave her the numbers for 2009 & 2010. For their road, the township spends less than $800/year. Not going to be able to pave very far for that amount of money.
