Colorful mushrooms on the forest floor

I don't listen to the political ads on TV - no matter what party. They are either attacking the other candidate on some trivia that isn't completely true or promising stuff that I know they can't do. What can you really learn about someone in a 15 second sound bite? I get particularly enraged when I get phone calls w/ an automated message (especially when they wake me up from a perfectly good nap and there is no one on the other end of the line to yell at.) I prefer to do research on my own - usually doesn't take much - to find out which candidate will probably (1) be able to do the job and (2) sounds like they have the same priorities I have. Seems to me if everyone shunned the phone calls & media ads, the candidates could save some of the outrageous sums they spend on campaigning, and devote a bit more time to actually doing some work. Of course, in some cases, that would be a bad thing too.

In your research about these mushroons, Do you know which are edible and the ones that aren't?
The nice round white one looks edible. When we lived in Plum City a neighbor gave us a big white round one. I fixed similar to a morrel and it was good. Haven't seen any since. JVM
