I love this kind of picture - where it looks like the sun is rising w/ clouds in front and in back of it - a physical impossibility. I put up pictures in my study that my grandparents had in their living room. I decided to try and find out something about the painters - L. P. Baker and L. Paul. I found a painter in Australia named L. P. Baker and sent him an e-mail but he said it wasn't him and he didn't know any other painters w/ his name. Found an L. Paul picture of the Superstition Mountains on a website but nothing more about the painter. Am guessing they were amateurs/hobbyists that just enjoyed painting.
