Saw this little male sitting in a bush keeping an eye on the feeders around my deck. He's a "snowbird" and will be leaving soon for the southern states or Mexico. The females and youngsters hang around a little longer to build up a bit more reserves before making that journey. I try to make sure the feeders stay full during this time so they have the best chance possible of returning next year. Just wouldn't be summer w/o them.
