Fireweed

Ipod, a little heifer, was in heat this morning. "In heat" means she wants to be bred and most cows get a little hyper during that time. Ipod was so antsy she was ready to jump out of her skin. She bawled constantly at the top of her lungs. Lisa and I both hoped that by yelling that loud she would go hoarse eventually but no such luck. She startled me by sticking her nose in my hair and taking deep breaths before dancing off to bug someone else. I once went out to the PETA website to read what they said about cruelty to dairy animals. One of their complaints was that cows were forced to be bred every year. Ipod's antics today would have changed their minds about calling it "forced".
