My father explained to me once that the process of milking is part the machine taking and part the cow giving the milk. Last night the dairy owners decided to start the night shift an hour early to avoid a planned electrical outage. The cows were not happy and refused to do their part in the milking process. This morning, Lisa, the intern, and I both commented on how full the cows seemed and surprised by how much milk they had! Back on the regular schedule, the cows were again in a "giving" mood. Cows can be quite the divas.

Indy cooling off in the ferns
