This is one of the flowers I look for every spring. You need to really look - it's very small. This picture is a little larger than they actually appear. But the flowers are fantastic - little geometric petals w/ tiny yellow centers. It grows in the woods usually near the edge of a wet area. The name comes from the fruit which has the same shape as a bishop's miter. Just one of many things in the world that doesn't look important ... but is.
