Open Book and Board of Review this afternoon. I don't have to be at the Open Book, the assessor can handle it himself. But I want to learn the process and I enjoy listening to the assessor. His people skills are a marvel. Property owners come in rather ticked at having higher assessments and leave feeling everything is OK, whether their assessment changed or not. However, the state still hasn't agreed that this year's reassessments have brought us within 10% of what the Dept. of Revenue thinks the township is worth. Therefore we had to postpone the Board of Review for another month. Hope we can wrap it all up then.
