Mallards

Surprised these ducks at Gorgeous Gorge today. I was there checking to see if the turtles or frogs might be out and about yet (not really expecting them though). Indy and I have had a mission every day this week. One day we checked for skunk cabbage, another pussywillows, and another day we looked for lichen in the tamarack swamp. Everything is a month ahead of schedule right now. Nice, but makes me nervous. Still a lot of potential for cold weather and there is nothing I hate worse than seeing a robin hopping around in snow.
