The Biker Buds have been sending me pictures of the birds they see in Arizona. Some are native to that area. Some are "snow birds" which, in spring, will come back north. I saw this hawk yesterday. It too is a migrant, visiting because the weather (and food supply) is currently better here in the Northwoods than at it's summer home above the Arctic Circle. What constitutes the perfect winter-getaway spot is all a matter of perspective I guess.

Rough-Legged Hawk
