Public Broadcasting is the station to watch on a winter's afternoon. First, they air an old black and white movie. Fascinating to watch - actors smoke cigarettes, cars are boxy, dresses shimmer, and the special effects are, well, not too believable but great fun. Later, in the afternoon, PBS airs lectures from the university. Today it was a double header of an astrophysicist talking about the history of astronomy in the state and then a talk on chaos theory applied to climate change. By the end of the afternoon, your synapses feel fully charged!
