The still, cold air this morning and strong stratification of the atmosphere caused the rising sun to look so distorted that it appeared to be coming up in pieces. I had to take these pictures quickly. (1) I was already late for breakfast w/ my friend, Nancy. (2) Indy, at this moment, was giving chase to a coyote she had espied in the field. I got my pictures, whistled for Indy to come back, and called Nancy to let her know I was running late. Women are known for their ability to multi-task.

Distorted Sunrise
The still, cold air this morning and strong stratification of the atmosphere caused the rising sun to look so distorted that it appeared to be coming up in pieces. I had to take these pictures quickly. (1) I was already late for breakfast w/ my friend, Nancy. (2) Indy, at this moment, was giving chase to a coyote she had espied in the field.
