Black Spruce Cones as bird feed

On Friday, the herdsman came into the parlor while I was cleaning up. First, he made sure I saw him (I get pretty wild w/ the jet hose). He then asked if I had a lighter or matches in my car. I indicated I didn't and he walked on out. I never did find out what he wanted matches for but I got to thinking. Sure I throw extra clothes, gloves, coat, and my sleeping bag in the back of the car during the winter but I should also keep matches, candles, quick energy food, and something to melt snow in. So today, I took a tall glass jar w/ screw-on cover and put 5 tea lights in the bottom, then put in an old pill bottle filled w/ wood matches (can strike them on a zipper), and filled the rest w/ the extra foil-wrapped candy I had received for Christmas. The jar fits inside a back side well in the car. Now I'm covered if I run off the road in a snowstorm -or- if anyone in the future asks for a match.
