Black Spruce cones

It was a busy Thursday. After work, I checked w/ the County Treasurer. Our tax bills were ready so I went over to the County seat to pick them up. Then I called the town assessor to make sure we was OK w/ the terms of his new contract. Yes, in fact, he had signed the copy I sent him and left it off w/ one of the supervisors. I finished up the rest of the paperwork for the night's Town Board meeting. However, I thought turning the town hall's heat on 1/2 hour before the meeting would be long enough to warm up the building. That might be sufficient when it was 40 degrees outside but not when it was zero. The meeting was a very cold hour of sitting on equally cold seats. After the meeting, I sat in a hot bath just to warm up enough to go to bed.
