Lichen on Hawthorn bush

Indy and I have been taking more forays off the beaten paths. Since the vegetation has died back it's easier to get further into the swamps. We can't go everywhere yet - have to wait for the ground to freeze. Will be very glad when that finally occurs - found a tick on my back tonight. Don't suppose we'll be truly rid of them until then.
