It was the state Youth Gun Deer Hunt this weekend. Only kids aged 10 - 15, accompanied by an adult, were allowed to hunt. The idea was to give them some hunting experience w/ the full attention of a mentor. So my great nephew, Dom, went out into the woods w/ his dad. They let me know where they would be and Indy and I didn't walk through that part of the swamp. Dom got an eight-point buck - pretty good especially for his first time out.
