A treefrog in the hummingbird feeder

Decided to have lunch at the downtown restaurant and, as I usually do, I went to the grocery store to buy a newspaper first. Two older men were checking out and talking w/ the cashier. They left and the cashier said they were stocking up to go to their cabin in the hills for a little grouse hunting. I rushed out into the parking lot and caught them as they were putting the last of their purchases in their car. "Do you ever hunt ring-necked pheasant or woodcock", I blurted out. They looked at me, amused, and then launched into a detailed account of how to hunt these birds. I don't know how far we had gotten into the conversation before they realized I wanted pictures not game. But it didn't seem to matter - the principal of finding the birds was the same. Only 2 weeks to go on the Bird Bet.
