Indy and I saw pileated woodpeckers on our walk yesterday. Don't usually see them but these were getting excited about nesting season. Also heard ruffed grouse thumping the air. It's so loud you can hear it even if you are 1/2 a mile away. The Harrier's are back too. Watched a pair taking off and landing in the field (they should do well w/ all of the voles out there). Gradually, Spring is making it's way back north.

Yes, was taken in Louisville and that is your Mom's lamp. I took this one, not Ian. I've got some of Ian's pictures but not all of them include heads.
