Library Picture

 

When Friends Kathy & Nancy visited, we went to the library so Kathy could pick out a picture to hang in Mjolnir's apartment while she was staying there.  It's a new library program allowing artwork to be checked out like a book.   I thought giving my guests their preference in pictures would be a fun way to try it out.  Should have had Nancy pick out a picture to put up in the spare bedroom too.  (Will have to install heftier wall hangers in there for these pictures.)  Kinda fun to have guests pick out their own 'artwork to sleep with.'

The blizzard is now just a memory and piles of snow.  Everything was open again today and people have been plowed out.  My driveway is passable w/ minor drifting in a couple of spots.  When Whip and I went for our night time constitutional snowflakes were falling again.  Had forgotten the weatherman said it would snow again overnight. After the frenzy of a blizzard, he didn't seem too excited about a couple more inches.  I have started wearing my weather coat.  All winter - even when it was twenty below - I wore a long padded vest and stayed perfectly warm.  I don't know if it's more hours of sunlight or the few days of warmer weather we had but I don't revel in the cold anymore.   Maybe my brain has just clicked my body over to spring - cooler temps are no longer acceptable.

I'm having a little problem adjusting to MeTV replacing 9 p.m. Hogan's Heroes with Golden Girls.  Hogan Heroes had been in that time period for so long that just hearing it's theme music made me start to get ready for bed.  The Golden Girls is OK but doesn't have the same effect on me.  Am hunting around for something else that signals 'sleep' to me.
