Milkweed
Got the new crown installed today. The dentist and his assistant were in fine form. As I lay prone with my mouth open, the doc told her about some of the non-teeth things he had found in people's mouths and the assistant countered w/ the description of someone's dentures that had a charred area (she assummed they smoked until the ash hit the teeth?). As they fitted the crown the dentist began explaining to the assistant if the crown was dropped at this point it was better for it to go down the throat than into the lungs. Glad to say all went well. Once home the dog and I took off for a walk. In the woods behind the house, Whip found a fairly fresh deer head. She proudly carried it back to add it to the two turkey caracsses on the front lawn. (She is quite the scavanger!) As I was trying to see if I could figure out how the head had been severed, the plow guy pulled into the drive. Mr. Quinn said before plowing season starts he checks out all of the driveways he services to see if there is anything new to watch out for. Always glad to see the plow guy - even when there isn't any snow. Tonight's constitutional was sufficiently spooky for the eve of Halloween - dark clouds passing over a full moon, weird noises (my neighbor is harvesting his corn in the dark), and the lights on Whip's coat blinking here and there through the tall grass.
