Raking and Baling Hay

Yesterday, Neighbor Blake raked the hay he'd cut in the field by the house and then had Neighbor Wade bale it before the fireworks show.  I was certainly just as happy to not shoot off those fireworks around dry loose hay (though having a bale go up in flames might have been a spectacular ending to the show).    We all went out for breakfast down town and later Brent and Sheila picked up the crop circle remains.  I grabbed Sheila in the late morning and we went to Winter Gardens to pick up this year's Yggdrasil.  I looked over the blue spruce and would like to get one sometime but there was this white spruce just the right size and shape. (Yes, I know the original Yggdrasil in Norse mythology is an ash but ash doesn't make a good Christmas tree.)   Got back home and found that the new chainsaw I'd ordered was delivered.   While the brothers can get the old chainsaw to work just fine, I can't get it started.  Am hoping this battery powered one I can use  (and that it won't leak oil as badly as the old one!)    Thunderstorms rumbled through in the late afternoon but once again split and went around us.  I'd better get out and water all the plants myself.
