Boxelder Samaras

John Deere has had my lawn mower and UTV for 20 days now and No-Mow-May or not, I need them back.   That's exactly what I said when I called their service department this morning.  The rep said, "Sure, I'll have them to you this afternoon."  Wow, that surprised me.  Will have to remember to call earlier next time I have them in for service.  Called Republic Garbage pickup.  They raised my bill by some $20.  I called and asked that they take my bill back down to what it was.  Their rep said she couldn't do that.  I said they didn't even pick up at least 5 weeks this winter.  Their rep said I could  have called and asked for a reduction each time.  I replied that I  think Republic is a bad company.   She countered that she could  reduce my bill a little.  I said to cancel my garbage pickup.  She said there would be an $85 bin pickup fee.  I asked when was I informed before this that there would be a cancellation pickup fee.  She didn't know.  So told her I wouldn't be paying an additional bin pickup fee.  (Will probably have to give in on that one but I just didn't  want to "go gentle into that good night".)    At the beginning of the call I was told to stay on the line if I wanted to answer questions about my service experience.  I did.  However, the rep didn't transfer me.  When she realized I was still on the line she asked if there was something else.  I said I was told to stay on the line for the customer survey  She said OK and just terminated the call completely.  Since I'm no longer a customer I don't get to say what I thought of the service call?  Went on-line and signed up with a different garbage company.  That done I sent in my Fireworks Permit Request to the town clerk.  Asked that I be allowed to shoot off fireworks from July 1 - 16.  Pretty sure the Board will sign it even w/ that big a window since I haven't abused it in the past.   I was on a roll.  Signed onto Land's End's website.  Brother Russell gave me three Land's End catalogs that had my name on them but were put in his mailbox.  My mailing address is a post office box.  I don't have a mail box nor am I even on a mail route.   Mail with only my physical address is either a) returned to sender, b) put in my post office box if the postal worker knows who I am, or c) put in Russell's mail box because the last name is the same and the letter carrier doesn't want left over mail.  All of the addresses I found in my Lands' End account included both physical and post office box.  Just in case removed all of the physical references leaving just the P.O. Box.  Don't know if that will keep Russ from getting catalogs but I am trying.
