Layers

My leg and back muscles were cramping up.  I was still riding an adreneline rush from dotting all of the i's and crossing t's for the election's final paperwork.  Was a little depressed from smiling and making small talk all day.  (I like the people who live in the area,  I'm just not all that gregarious.)  Since I got home last night early from the election, ran a hot bath and soaked for awhile.  That did the trick.  Fell asleep quickly, slept through the night, waked ready to face the snowstorm.  No snowstorm.  My driveway had drifted a bit but was still driveable.  Even the sun was making a weak appearance.  Means last night's wave of the snowstorm had taken a more southernly bend and just grazed us.  The next wave due in the afternoon was forecast to smack us hard.  Took advantage of the lull to give the dog some exercise.  We went out twice to fill up all the bird feeders.  Watered the plants in Sleipnir.  Found Mjolnir's door had blown ajar so went out a few times as the wind picked up to check that it was staying closed.  Since the driveway was still open enough to drive, I even jumped in the car to pick up my mail (plus send a thank-you to the plow guy) and buy a latte downtown.  I was already 'coffeed out' for the day but can warm it up tomorrow morning.  The snow began again at 3:30 and the wind was howling out of the north.  Good for cleaning out my driveway but bad for the foyer.  The wind pushs on the front door leaking in a bit of the cold.  I have closed off the foyer and Whip will sleep in the house tonight.  The only one who will have a problem w/ that is Blitz.
