Naif

A week full of holidays.  Last Saturday was Aztec New Year.  I've got an Aztec calendar in my bedroom.  I've made half-hearted attempts to learn how to read it.  Should put more effort into figuring it out.   Sunday was the Spring Forward time change.  Not really a 'holiday' but there is ritual associated w/ the day - still need to change the clock in the car.  Today is Pi Day.  Think we should all wish each other a "Happy Pi Day" and the response should be "and a 1592 to you too" or maybe  "Circumference divided by diameter greetings."  Suppose that's too geeky.  Tomorrow are the infamous Ides of March.   An excellent time to reread William Shakespeare's Julius CaesarPurim is on the 16th.  Could do another read of the book of Esther in the Bible or have a party, feast, or give to charity to celebrate the Jewish people being saved from execution by the Persians.  The 17th is St. Patrick's Day when everyone is Irish for a day.  Wear something green.  Eat some potatoes.   Friday it's Holi.  The Hindu festival of Love/Spring/Colors.  It celebrates the divine love of Krishna and the triumph of good over evil.  It is a day to forgive and forget.  Heal family relationships.  Visit friends.  Then ... finally ... on Sunday ... IT'S SPRING!
