Ice Covered Window

When the news issues weather alerts everyone goes to do errands ahead of time plus pick up food.  Often the weather doesn't turn out quite as bad as the weather forecaster forecasted.  Yesterday there were 'ice warnings' for overnight and this time the forecaster was right on.  On the morning constitutional I walked the entire way just like Tim Conway's 'old man' schtick.  While Whip had the advantage of  four paws and claws, whenever she tried to run it seemed one or the other of her legs would go the opposite direction.  We carefully went out later to fill the bird feeders.  I kept off the treacherously icy trail in favor of walking through deep snow.  When I set the thistle container down so I could reattach the feeder, the empty container slid away from me until the lilac bushes stopped it.  Whip and I went out again at noon.  It was overcast but warmer.  Nope, just as icy.  Tonight's constitutional went better.  Where the driveway was free of snow, the dark gravel had been enough to melt the ice.   However, the forecaster is saying tomorrow will be a repeat of today.  It was already misting tonight on the walk.  That will freeze as the night time temps drop and we might even get snow on top of it.  Think this is nature's way of making us appreciate spring when it finally arrives.
