Isle Royale jigsaw puzzle
I saw there was a '$2 - bad address' deduction from my savings account in the Dairyland Bank. Had no idea what that meant and it gave me an excuse to go to drive over to County Seat where I could pick up something for lunch after checking in w/ the bank. I passed over the statement I'd received and asked the teller about the charge. The teller told me the bank had tried to send me my statement but it had been returned so they had assessed me a $2 fee. That was strange. I was showing them the statement I had received from them in the mail. Plus I've banked w/ them from this same address since around 2004. Looked at the address on the statement and noticed that, while they still had my physical address on it, they had omitted the line in the address w/ my post office box. I pointed this out, the teller said she would take off the $2 fee and add in the P.O. Box. I'm fairly certain that the P.O. Box line has been there in the past. I've never had a mailbox at this house plus I'm not even on a mail route. I suspect when the bank switched to a new computer system, only the physical address was printed on correspondence. No explanation on why they took $2 out of my savings because a mailing was returned to them yet I had that statement in my hand. I only thanked the teller and left. With any luck, I'll be closing all my accounts at this bank by April.
