Autumn Color

Before I'd left on my trip I'd tucked away the plants to be overwintered into Sleipnir.  I knew that the heating system in Sleipnir wasn't working yet but between the south-facing windows and mass it wouldn't fall to freezing in there for awhile.  When I'd called two weeks ago, Winco had said the part they needed was in and they would be out to fix it on Wednesday.  When they didn't show that day, I hadn't called again since I was soon leaving for the week.   I had opted  to not lock the door on Sleipnir just in case I got phone call that they could come while I was gone.  There had been no call.  I arrived home early Friday afternoon so decided to call them and remind them that next week it needed to be fixed pronto.  I left a message.  A few minutes later I received a call back from Winco.  He sounded amused.  "I was out there on Tuesday and the heating system is working.  Just needs for you to set the temp."   I apologized, thanked him, and opened the door to Sleipnir.  It felt like a jungle in there.  The temp was set at 65 but w/ the quantities of plants, it was very humid.  Sleipnir will be an oasis of warmth in the cold of this winter.  Maybe I should move a chair out there?
