Cope's Grey Treefrog

I called Winco - the heating and cooling company - to start up my heating system in Sleipnir.  He wanted to be around the first time the in-floor heating was started and suggested I call around the first week of September.   I called  today and got an actual person.  "Sure." Andy said. "If you'll be around this afternoon, I'll stop out."  Must have caught him between cooling and heating seasons.  Andy got here around 2:30.  He opened up the boiler, overrode the off-peak switch, and fired her up.  The water heated but the pump didn't.  He'll order a new unit and come back out w/ it later in the week.  Since he was here and familiar w/ electric heating systems, I had him check Mjolnir's heating system also.  Instead of opening up the unit and doing an override, he had me shut off the off-peak from the main power box.  When the electrician had put in the override for Sleipnir, he must have added an extra switch because I didn't know which one to turn off.  I picked one and checked in w/ Andy.  Must have been the right one 'cause the system was fine.  I switched Mjolnir's main boiler off at the fuse box.   Again, since he was there I had him come in the house and check the one in there.  The main thing was the water level in the tank.  Nope ... everything was good there.  Just needed to turn on the water pump and set the thermostat.  I went back out to the main fuse box to switch back to off-peak.  Not really sure I did it right.  Will know when the freezing weather starts!
