I'm on chicken duty at Russell & Donna's for awhile. I only need to go to their place once a day so not difficult at all. I check that Chinook has water and food. He's getting older now and doesn't eat much but I bring down a couple of treats for him so I can remain in his good graces. Doesn't stop him from barking at me. Russell cemented up the door to the truck garage and took down an inside wall to the old milkhouse. Makes a large room for the pullets. I give them their food and check that they have water also. Russell said I could give them greens if I wanted (but no avocados). I walk in slowly and carefully so I don't startle the girls. They must have accepted me because while I was filling the trough I could feel one pecking at my shoe lace and others were on high roosts looking me in the eye when I stood up. Maybe they can smell/sense that I pose no danger since eating chicken is an anathema to me.
