Astrological Blue Moon rising
Time to begin getting ready for a trip to the State Fair. I went to buy an event ticket on-line. The form said in bold letters "Limit of 12 tickets per order". It was one of those escher moments. You know - you look at a picture of a vase until you are told there are two faces and then the faces seem obvious? Well, I took the statement to mean that the minimum number of tickets I could buy were a dozen. Couldn't find a place to buy just one ticket. Thought about it. What advantage to the vendor would there be to sell in packs of 12? Could sell more tickets and lessen handling charges. No, that didn't seem sufficient enough reason. I decided to pick the option for 1 before committing to buy and see where it took me. The screen changed and showed my selection of 1 ticket for the price of one ticket. Duh ... 'Limit of 12 tickets per order' meant I couldn't buy more than 12 tickets at once. Reminded me of when I heard the TV ad that starts w/ "Do you have degrading photos and tapes in your closet?" and thought it meant the content of the photos/tapes were of a pornographic nature rather than the physical photos and tapes were gradually disintegrating. Maybe I need to get out more.
